Here's a couple more good ones by another Christopher Ames.

Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits.

Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked someone so hard that his foot broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean.

Crop circles are Chuck Norris' way of telling the world that sometimes corn needs to lie down.

The Great Wall of China was originally created to keep Chuck Norris out. It failed miserably.

Chuck Norris can win a game of Connect Four in only three moves.

Chuck Norris is the only man to ever defeat a brick wall in a game of tennis.

I am a Chuck Norris fanatic. I have 5000+ jokes/facts bout him. If you ever need any more, just ask me.

Hmmm...sounds like wisdom for all of us. I think I'm most guilty of not living in the moment--thinking of things future or things past or myself--and not cherishing silly stories from teenagers, or delight in someone's eyes, or the glory of each day.

Thanks for the reminder. You should check out Donald Miller's new book, A Million Miles in a Thousand Years. I haven't read it yet (my copy has been shipped), but it's about what he learned while editing his life for a film. I think it will be a challenge to live life to the fullest.

on first reading, i thought you said you were shooting off metal (not model) rockets.... and figured that might be as close as one can come to chasing dragons. although probably not recommended. keep up the adventure, brother.

Hey,Chris. Believe it or not, as you can see at the bottom, my name is Christopher Ames too. I just wanted to say you're right about people not wanting to admit they have a problem until it's to late. They just need to admit they do and do whatever they need to do to fix it.

Very "insightful" Chris. How many times do we want to think nothing is wrong or everything is wrong and we put it off for as long as possible. Yet the answer is right in front of us, our Lord.

I just stumbled upon your blog when i was googling on the entire content of Puddleglum's statement. I'm an avid fan of the series of Narnia, that is, and the marshwiggle's statement is actually my favorite of the series. Having read this particular entry encouraged me in that I am not alone in the so-called "babies-in-their-made-up-worlds". No, Christ-followers are not out-of-touch of this world, we just simply don't reside here permanently. So, keep on. :)

This is awesome! I, too, am Old Code. I say, the world can't have my heart. I don't need what it has to offer. And I don't want what it has to offer. I want the heart of my King. I want to offer Him my whole heart, uncontaminated by the world's sweet poison. I want the Old Code- engraved upon my heart forever by my King. I will fight until His Kingdom comes. I will live and die by the Old Code! For if my King be for me, who then can stand against me?
